1. CONTEXT
Since 2013, the FRQ and FWO have collaborated on the Bilateral Research Cooperation Program between Québec and Flanders. This fourth joint call for proposals is a continuation of this rich and beneficial partnership.
2. OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of this Program is to contribute to the development of scientific excellence and cooperation by supporting and encouraging researchers from Quebec universities to collaborate with Flemish research partners. It aims to promote interdisciplinary (or FRQ inter-domain) and fundamental research between these two communities.
The call is open to all scientific fields covered by the FRQ. For this call, proposals must cover research domains falling under at least two of the three branches of the FRQ:
- Health (Domains covered by FRQS)
- Society & Culture (Domains covered by FRQSC)
- Nature & Technologies (Domains covered by FRQNT)
For this program, funded research projects should:
- Bring together Quebec and Flemish expertise and experience
- Consolidate and develop interdisciplinary teams
- Allow the advancement of fundamental research
