The FRQ is proud to announce the launch of the FRQnet 2.0 project to the research community. The aim of this project is to modernize and enhance the technological infrastructure used for submitting applications and managing the funding award process, facilitate the transition to a new CV model, and simplify interoperability with ORCID.

Announcement of the FRQnet project to the FRQ community.

June 16 to 19, 2025

Closure of the current application to allow migration to the new version of the application.

June 20, 2025

Authentication in a new single portal, grouping together all components of the current FRQnet system as subsections easily accessed via hyperlinks.

At this time, all FRQnet account holders will be asked to update their password and confirm some basic information.

No need to create a new account!

July 10, 2025

For training award competitions: application forms are posted online in the new platform: the entire digital process is carried out in the new platform.

For all other types of competitions, as well as applications funded in previous cohorts: apart from the new authentication page, there are no changes this year. Accessible through a redirect menu in the new platform, application forms can be submitted, approved, evaluated, funded and followed up using the current interface.

For all types of competitions: the entire digital process is carried out in the new platform.

For applications funded in previous years: all portals of the old FRQnet platform (electronic portfolio, evaluator portal, institution portal) are still available and functional.

July 2027

100% of our activities are supported in the updated version of FRQnet!

1. Why are we implementing a new version of FRQnet?

The new version of FRQnet considerably improves the management of scholarships and grants by simplifying administrative processes, reducing processing times, and increasing transparency and compliance with current standards.

2. When will the new version of FRQnet be available?

Deployment is scheduled for June 20, 2025. FRQnet will not be accessible on June 16, 17, 18 and 19. A transition and adaptation period will be put in place.

3. Who will be impacted by this change during this first stage of implementation?

All those involved in the management of training awards: applicants, research directors and supervisors, evaluation committee members.

4. Will my current data be transferred?

Yes. User data will be migrated to ensure continuity of operations. During this transition, FRQnet account holders will only need to update their password and verify some basic information, without any loss of data or the need to create a new account!
